Updating your Chromebook
Updating your Chromebook is essential in keeping it functional and up to date on the latest patches and security. If you are having issues with your Chromebook, a good place to start is to update it. In this article, we will be showing you how to update your Chromebook.
- The first step is to login to your Chromebook and navigate to Settings.
- Click on Settings (looks like a cog wheel).
- Click on Check for updates.
- If there are no updates available, it will give you a check mark saying "Your Chromebook is up to date". If you have an update, you will see it download and then there will be a button to restart the Chromebook afterwards.
A good rule of thumb is to check for updates every other month to see if Chrome has released anything new. Sometimes this will fix weird little issues that the Chromebook is having!
